Nishiki Market

While exploring the neighborhood of our hotel in Kyoto (Hotel Monterey Kyoto), Stan stumbled on the Nishiki Market, only a few block from hotel. We spent the morning exploring the sights and sounds, and sampling strange and interesting food. Sigrid found it to be a photographic bonanza, and we returned to the market repeatedly during our stay in Kyoto.
