The seven foot swells from the south were shooting straight into the cove unimpeded and turned it into a washing machine. Usuallay the rocks or the bluff offer some protection. Not today. We spent a lot of time watching the waves and trying to convince ourselves that it was safe to get in the water. Ultimately common sense prevailed.
