Last casts

Took a break from winterizing the camp to get in a few last casts in before pulling the boat.

Conditions on the lake were remarkable, cold, but no wind, and not a ripple on the lake. The mirror-like surface permitted us to see some unusual behaviors - fish breaking the surface in pockets all around us, but not not appearing to be feeding. Tried to catch some video of the phenomena...



Never did figure out what kind of fish it was, as they weren't interested in anything we put in front of them. However, we did get some action with yet more undersized pike. Dad hooked a nice 20 incher.
