The 12th hole...


... is on the endangered list. When the SF Rec & Park Plan to enhance the habitat is implemented, the Par 3 12th goes away to connect the marsh on either side. It's not one of the original McKenzie holes, so, depending on the final design - could be an opportunity to restore a couple of the original holes.

The greatest irony of the entire kerfuffle is that the WEBLEEDU's and Save the Frog drummers are doing everything they can to slow or stop the Rec & Park Plan for the most significant habitat improvement for the red-legged frog since - well - since the course was built 80 years ago and created this managed habitat for the frog and snake.
