There were quite a few bald eagle sightings during this trip. Several appear to be nesting on or near the lake. This low level pass over the bay was one of several seen over a couple of days from the deck.
The object of the eagles attention was a small dead pike lying on the bottom in about a foot of water - just out of reach of the eagle's extended talons. Eventually the pike floated to the surface, drifted closer to shore, and the patient eagle grabbed it (unfortunately, a little too quick to grab my camera).
