On the 8th Tee |
We couldn't have asked for a better day at Lincoln Park. As it was Easter, Passover and April Fools Day, we pretty much had the course to ourselves. Other Bob and Joe signed up, the three of us choosing to demonstrate our religious convictions and family obligations in our own special way.

10th Green - my birdie hole |
Weather was perfect, and the course was in great shape by EssEff muni standards. Lance was on the front desk and, after giving me shit for riding in a cart, included Ray - a single from the East Bay - with our threesome. Although Ray grew up in San Francisco, he'd never played Lincoln. It was an opportunity to show off a little municipal pride and regale him with our encyclopedic course knowledge during the round. We're not sure how appreciative he really was by the end of the day.
In any case, 17th tee photo ops are a mandatory exercise for any Lincoln Park virgin ...
Of course, Other Bob never misses an opportunity for an 17th tee ocean shot ...
... but he brought a growler of Lagunitas IPA , so there's that...
It was a good day all around. I had a couple pars, only one snowman, and a very rare birdie to break below 100 for the first time in months. Dare I say, a breakthrough round.
JF - 88
BF - 95*
MW - 97
* Includes a two stroke penalty for an unauthorized Mulligan on the 1st hole. When handicaps are figured in I beat Other Bob badly with a net score of 69 to his 76.
